Another great weekend in the woods

We have found a new favorite spot in Montezuma.

Jeremiah tried to start the fire with his magnifying glass.

Jason came out for breakfast with the kids favorite puppy, Gary.

They built him a home, but he escaped right away.

So they built it taller.

This time it kept him in for longer than a few seconds.

Lexi decided to make it a cage for her big brother.

Troy got too relaxed in the sun, which lead to a little afternoon nap.

While out collecting firewood, we came across this tee pee.

The kids wanted their own house in the woods.

They collected lots of long logs to build with.

Dad did most of the building.

Thanks Dad, it's perfect!!

Playing a little Frisbee golf.

Some mornings it's too cold to get dressed.

They love to poke at the fire.

Still a little sleepy?

On Sunday morning Jeremiah and Miles added electricity to their house.

Packing up at the end of the weekend is the worst part.

Miles likes to supervise

Our big scout, Jeremiah could survive in the woods with his shelter, magnifying glass with compass, a pocket knife and his home made bow and arrow.

We took a trip up Keystone Gulch and had lunch at Erickson Mine.

A picture perfect view from inside an old mine building.

King of the mountain!!

One worn out boy!
