Happy 6th Birthday Lexi!!!!!!

Last week, Lexi turned 6. She can now move on to the 2nd hand when showing her age. I know everyone always says they grow up way too fast, but I must say it again, THEY GROW UP WAY TOO FAST! It seems like only yesterday we were rocking our precious new born baby girl. I will never forget how Troy use to hold her, looking into her little eyes and telling her she was his baby doll. She will always be our baby doll, but she is turning into a smart, funny, beautiful little girl.

First thing she asked on the morning of her birthday "Can I open my presents?" Her sweet big brother told me we should let her open at least the one from him.

For breakfast she wanted 6 pancakes with a candle in each one.

We made cupcakes for her to share at school.

She loved being the center of attention as the rest of the class sang Happy Birthday in their silliest voices.

After school we had cupcakes with our family.

Followed by a few more presents.

And off to football.

Lexi scored a touchdown on her big day!!
Only later did Jeremiah tell us that the coaches told them (he was on the other team that was winning by several touchdowns) to let her score a touchdown for her birthday. The best part, they all played along! And after the game, every kid on both teams wished her a happy birthday and congratulated her on her touchdown, no one letting on to the plan. Another reminder of the great community we live in with truly caring people!!!

She was SO proud of her touchdown and I'm sure it's a day she will never forget!!!!!!!

Snow already

Yeap, that's right we had a few cold and snowy days last week, but by Thursday it was nice and warm again.

After getting the other 2 on the bus on Tuesday morning, Miles went up stairs, got a cup and went outside to fill it will snow. The kids love eating their winter treat 9 months out of the year.

Fall has arrived

Last weekend we spent some time enjoying the fall colors.

Geocaching

We went out for some geocaching last weekend.

Trying to enjoy being outdoors without layers on while we still can.

This old tree stump would make a great cup holder.

This one was a little tough, but we eventually found the treasure.

Admiring the view from this old cabin.

Our football players

The proud football players worn their jerseys to school on Friday.

Jeremiah, Lexi and Magnus are all number 7 for their teams. That's right we have 3 little John Elways!!

The flag football kids got to play during half time at the high school football game last Friday night. Here they are watching the game while waiting for their big moment.

They are so cute in their jerseys!

Their chance to play under the lights!!

Playing on the new artificial turf at the high school. In case you are wondering, they lines do not come off, as Lexi found out after trying to wipe them off with her feet during part of the game.

Cute as can be on the big field.

They said it was really cool listening to the packed stadium cheer!

Game over, now time to get warm.

Good brothers taking care of their sick sister.

Jeremiah checked on her and told her to feel better before heading off to school.

When she was feeling a little better her and Miles played a game of dominoes.

Miles the artist

Miles LOVES to paint!

Last week we painted pictures for Dad to hang up at work.

Making sure it's perfect!

Miles wanted a clown nose.

He thought I needed one too.

Maybe you look better in blue Mom.

Go Broncos!
