Sunday we enjoyed beautiful 35 degree sunny day!

We drove up Loveland pass and strapped on our snowshoes.

Show me the way Dad.

The kids took off their snow shoes and rolled down the hill. The only thing is, if you roll down, you must walk back up. Miles giggled and rolled all the way down followed by the wining and crying the whole way back up only to do all over again!

We played in the snow on his same hill in July of 2008. Jeremiah remembered the area as his Colorado slip in slide. Troy and I were impressed that he recognized we were in the same area as that day in July when we found snow to play in.

So warm, no need for a hat or gloves, oh wait, the snow is cold on bare hands!

While crossing a pond, we had to found out just how deep the snow was before ice. About 3 feet of snow covered the pond.

A shot of the same pond taken on a family outing in July 2008.

They tried to clear it out and see some ice, but there was just too much snow.

Show shoeing has become our favorite family activity. I love that we can go out avoid the crowds while enjoying our mountains and our family!

This weekend, we went on a snowshoeing adventure both Saturday and Sunday. We spend just as much time playing in the snow as we do exploring the area.

Jeremiah and Troy thought this looked like a nice place for a rest after making a snow maze for Lexi, Miles and I.

Jeremiah layed down forever and I think we would have fallen asleep if we had not been so noisy. Lexi had to see what was so cool about laying in the snow.

Sometimes, they don't pack the trail down enough for Miles.

I'm glad the kids' enjoy this activity

Happy Valentine's Day

The kiddos being nice to each other on Valentine's Day.

Love ya Sis!

We all helped in the kitchen this morning and had a heart filled breakfast!

As soon as breakfast was over, they started eating candy.

Troy asked the kids to pose for a picture before school yesterday and Miles was not to happy about it!
Now that's better guys!

Lexi passing out Valentine's at her school party.

What ya got in the box?

Hey check this one out.

Skiing at the Basin

Sunday I had a work "beach" party at A-Basin. Jeremiah was not feeling well, so he and Troy stayed home. Miles, Lexi and I had a blast!

Come on Mom, I'm ready to ski!

ride up

ski down

Lexi is fast, she spent a lot of time waiting on Miles and I. Eventually I sent her up the "big lift" with a coworker.

It was Miles' 1st day of the season and his 1st time to ski alone! He didn't go far before falling down, but he tried it every run we took!

Lexi and her buddy Cade, ready to head down the hill.
