Not Spring Yet!!

This morning we woke to 6 inches of fresh snow, rode closures and a 2 hour school delay giving us a little reminder that winter in not over yet!

And it didn't stop snowing all day! Tomorrow I'll get a powder day with 20 preschoolers as, I'm going on a field trip to the Basin with Lexi's class.

Beaching at the Basin........

We hung out on the beach at A-Basin with Gammaw and Gammpaw today. Jeremiah and Lexi both did great skiing and enjoyed showing off! Miles wanted to ski too, so him and I took several rides on the Molly Hogan. He skied between my legs laughing the whole time. He actually through a fit when I said it was time for lunch, by my back hurt, so we took a break. The snow was coming down hard and wet when we first got there, but it stopped and warmed up to 40 degrees. We had a great day on the hill!!!

Even Santa came out for some skiing at the basin today!!!!

Happy Easter!

Friday we drove to Grandma and Dale's for our annual Easter fun.

We visited the Easter Bunny so we could make sure he remembered we would be at Grandma's house.

Then for the egg dying contest.

Grandma showed Miles what to do......

He liked the yellow egg so much he dyed his hand yellow to match.

Jeremiah showing off some of the winner eggs. Everyone got creative this year, some of the winners not pictured included a Rockies player, Einstein, and the Bud light Eggs.

And of course the roller skating is always a highlight of the weekend! Strapping on skates once a year brings back some fun memories for all of us and creates great new ones for the kids. We all laughed all night!

The Easter Bunny did find us leaving eggs everywhere!

It warmed up a little on Sunday afternoon, so the kids ran around in the backyard while we spent time visiting with family.

Aunt Mimi and the kids made deviled eggs. And they were proud to have helped out with a meal to feed so many people!!

On Sunday we went to a work Beaching at the Basin Party. I was amazed by how well Lexi was skiing! After a few runs with me, she decided she was ready to ride the Molly Hogan (the beginner lift) with her friends and off she went. Jeremiah, Lexi, and 2 of their friends did tons of laps with the adults watching on! Lexi was so proud of herself! Great job Lexi we are proud of you too!!!!

Besides the skiing and food, the kids were entertained by a snow skate. After a few failed attempts, Jeremiah got the hang of it!

Dad had to try as well.

Gotta love the skiing!

When I picked Jeremiah up from school today, I asked him if we should go take a few runs. He said I read his mind, because he was thinking about, skiing too! So we hit the slopes and boy his he fast!!! He flew down the hill, only slowing down when he saw someone fall, and only stopped long enough to ask if they were ok. That's my boy, ski fast and hard, but always check on those who are down!!!

Jeremiah was a little nervous that I was taking pictures on the lift. At his suggestion, I stopped moving around and held onto the bar for the rest of the ride up!

Last weekend I participated in the ski for SIDS benefit. I was on a team of 13 people. We skied hard and fast enjoying a day with good people skiing for a good cause!
