Troy thought it would be fun to let the kids draw on the floor before the new carpet came in. The kids realized their was enough room to trace their whole bodies, so we all took our turn laying on the floor and getting traced! The kids always want to help work on the house, so we try to let them get involved when we can. It means tons of clean up, but it is fun to watch them paint the walls!

Wow how busy we have been! But at last the hard work is paying off! We have moved into the basement we have been finishing for 3 years! Troy and I now have a beautiful new master bedroom with a walk-in closet and master bath with a jacuzzi tub!!! We moved some things down last night, we felt like we were on vacation, a nice jacuzzi bath and a great night's rest in a brand new bedroom!! But back at work today moving and organizing. This weekend we will paint the loft (what was our room), next weekend new carpet will go in and Jeremiah will move into his new car themed room.

Last Thursday Jeremiah and I drove down to Denver and went to a Rockies game. A friend gave us two tickets to the game against the Giants. The tickets were behind the visitor's dugout, on row 19. Jeremiah was amazed by the field, so he walked down a few times to get nice and close. A gentleman on the down front told him us had 2 extra sits so we got to sit on the front row. We called troy, he turned on the game ans saw us right away! Troy said Lexi fell asleep watching the ballgame and getting excited every time she saw us on TV. Jeremiah and I really enjoyed the game. I loved watching the excitement is his eyes as he watched Barry Bonds bat!!
Last weekend being both Mother's Day and my Birthday, Troy and the kids all went out of their way to show their appreciation and love. Troy planned a surprise birthday party for me on Friday night. A big group of friends and family showed up at Dos Locos and we had a blast!! Saturday we went to a crawfish boil down the street at Kelly and Eric's. Kelly is from New Orleans and they have a couple of boils every summer. This party was for their son, Cade's 3rd birthday party (he has the same b'day as me). Miles liked the live craw fish, he couldn't keep his hands off them. It was hilarious, because both Jeremiah and Lexi were scared of them and Miles would pick one up and hold it towards them and growl. all the kids tried the craw fish, but Jeremiah was the only one that liked them. Sunday morning we went to Mandy and Mike's new house for brunch. The kids wanted to be sure I had birthday cake, so they (with a little help from Grandma) made me a waffle with whip cream and a candle and sang happy birthday. It was very sweet. We came home and Troy spent the afternoon tiling the bathtub/shower in our bathroom. (Thanks babe, I love it!!)
