Saturday at the ball field

Grandma pulled Lexi's tooth right before she was up to bat. She was so proud telling the catcher and coach she had just lost a tooth. The space where the two bottom teeth were is perfect for her tongue.

While warming up, Jeremiah took a pop fly to the face resulting in a little blood, a few tears, a fat lip and a much looser baby tooth.

Soon enough he forgot about the injury and was ready to catch.

That tooth that had been knocked loose fell out while he was catching! He waited for the batter to finish, then he began looking for his tooth in the dirt behind home plate. A few coaches assisted, the tooth was found and applause broke out from the crowd!

2 teeth in one day at baseball games! This is one we will not forget!

Harlynn came to watch the kids play ball(and loose teeth).

She was as fun as the game to watch.

Snow cones after the games, I can't think of a better way to end our exciting morning at the ball field.

Last Thursday the sun was shinning bright so Miles and I decided to go check out a new park.

We played and played and when I was ready to head home to tackle the laundry and dishes, I realized I locked my keys in the car.

So we played some more!

We took a walk down to the lake to check out the boats while we waited to be rescued with the extra set of keys.

After 3 hours of playing at the park, we started for home and my happy, worn out boy fell asleep before pulling out of the parking lot.

After leaving Jeremiah's guitar lessons, the kids asked if we could go play at the park close by. My 1st thought, it's 7:00 on a school night, but the sun was still shinning and they asked so nicely, why not make a stop?

They were thrilled I said yes.

I spent the next hour watching the run and play, thinking to myself, what a GREAT summer we are in for!

Scouts night at the zoo

Last Sunday, Jeremiah and Troy joined 30 other cub scouts and parents for a night at the Colorado Springs zoo.

They enjoyed the animals at night all to themselves!

The boys were allowed to write on the gorilla cage with dry erase markers. Jeremiah wrote girla.

Jeremiah said his favorite part was the 3 month old orangutan.

Who wouldn't love this face?

They were entertained with snakes and turtles. I would have gone for the turtle over the snake too!!

Feeding the giraffes!

I think someone is having a GREAT time!

The next day, after breakfast they were free to wonder around the zoo.

Jeremiah tried to feed the wallabies.

He played with this monkey for a bit.

Troy said he got a little intimidated by them, well after seeing this picture, I know why.

Another fun activity thanks to scouting!!!!!! I love that Jeremiah and Troy are able to enjoy these adventures together!

Memorial Weekend

Saturday we went out to Uncle Bryan and Aunt Sarah's to help them plant wild flower seeds.

Aunt Sarah got all this cool gear for us to dig in the dirt.

Water helps the flowers, Lexi and Miles grow.

Sunday we planted the seedlings from the town.

It sprinkled while we worked.

The rain and love from the kids will hopefully make these trees grow.

Sunday afternoon Troy and Jeremiah went on a Scouts overnight trip to the Colorado Springs zoo. Lexi had a friend come to sleep over.
We painted our toenails(Miles too of course)

The girls danced all around.

They read Miles and I some stories.

After a hard day playing and a lot of giggling they finally fell asleep.

For breakfast this Memorial Day, we made red, white and blue pancakes.

What do you do when you see a big mud puddle?
You run

and jump in it of course!

That's what rain boots and washing machines are for right?

Lexi's 1st lost tooth

Lexi lost her 1st tooth at school today on her way to lunch.

She was so excited to put it under her pillow for the Tooth Fairy!

Pizza Party

Yesterday Miles' class took a walk to a pizza place close by for a party.

But this wasn't just any old pizza party, the kids got to make these pizzas!
1st a little sauce.

Next the cheese.

Make that a TON of cheese.

And you can't forget the peperoni.

Eating the pizza they made was the best part.
