Elitch Gardens

Last Saturday we went to Elitch Gardens Amusement Park.

Lexi ran to the only pink horse on the carousel.

During October the park offers Treat-or-Treating and Halloween fun around every corner.

Miles was right at the minimum height for all of the kiddie rides. Jeremiah was a huge help taking him on each ride and being sure he got buckled in. All three kids had a blast on the rides!!!

This was the kids favorite ride. When Miles got off he was laughing saying up down up down.

Nice spot for a rest.

Wow, this is a cool place!!!

Troy and I had a great laugh at the bummer cars.

Thanks guys for another fun family day!

Past Halloweens

2002 - Raggedy Ann and Andy
The year it all began, we were a hug hit at every event we attended. Jeremiah won us a case of beer and a weekend get away. We had so much fun, we decided it would be a family tradition from then on.......

2003 - Smurfs
Lexi was only a few weeks old when we dressed as smurfs. We won the costume contest at Troy's work for the 2nd year in a row.

2004 - Fireman theme
I have never seen a cuter fire hydrant or dalmatian, have you? 1st place 3 years in a row at Troy's work party!

2005 - Willy Wonka
Everyone loved the Ompa Loompas including the judges at Troy's work, we placed 1st again!

2006 - The Wizard Of Oz

The kids have such a good time and love all the attention we get everywhere we go. People tell us every year that they look forward to seeing our family theme. I think this was my favorite! And still the best at Dad's work!

2007 - Star Wars
At the request of Jeremiah and Troy, we did the Star Wars theme last year. For the 1st time, someone out did us for the costume contest we have won every year before. I'm think it was because this year, we bought our costumes. Grandma's love really makes them!

2008 - Pirates

We've dressed up twice already and have 4 more chances to go out looking for treasure(candy) over the next 2 weeks. We all love Halloween and look forward to having this family fun for years to come.........as long as the kids and Grandma will play along!

Halloween Carnival

We carved pumpkins yesterday with Aunt Mimi, Grandma and Dale.

Lexi was grossed out by the insides, but she toughed it out and cleaned out her pumpkin.

After touching "the goo", Miles would not put his hands in the pumpkin. He kept telling us "no too yucky!"

So he decorated on the sticker pumpkin Grandma and Lexi got him.

Jeremiah did his own pattern and carving this year. We worked intensely on what turned out to be a great jack-o-lantern.

Lexi getting her dragon pattern ready to carve.

Aunt Mandy testing out the baby belly to come.

This pumpkin carving is serious business.

The finished pumpkins and their proud carvers.

Yesterday was the last soccer game of the season.

Jeremiah and Lexi were happy to receive their trophies. I am happy we made it through the season without having to playing on a snow covered fields. Now let the snow fall!!!

Thanks to Aunt Mandy's planning, on Friday all the 1st graders in the county went to the high school to see the Chinese Acrobats preform.

Jeremiah met his pen pal from Mandy's class.

This balancing unicyclist was Jeremiah's favorite act.

Outside after the show, Jeremiah tests out his balance.

The kids laying around on a lazy morning.
