Last weekend we went to Colorado National Monument with Ganma and Ganpa Wright, Aunt Allyson, Uncle Brian, Kylie, Taylor, and Ellie. Although it was SUPER hot, we had tons of fun running around, enjoying the amazing views, and of course playing in the dirt.

Cousins!!!!
Jeremiah and Lexi have been excited for a week now to see their cousins.
Aunt Allyson, Uncle Brian, Kylie, Taylor and Ellie got in town late last night. This evening, after the kids got home from daycare, they all came over for a visit. All 6 kids were excited to see each other. There was a lot of running around and giggling. We are looking forward to a week of fun with them and Grandma and Grandpa Wright as we do the Alpine slides, eat Fondue, and go camping in Moab.

Oh how I love my kids and my mountains. Don't they go great together! We took this picture at the park on Sunday.

The weather has been nice, so the kids have enjoyed some time in the backyard the last few days, but tonight it was snowing when we got home from school, so we hung out in Jeremiah's new room. He has moved up to the loft and the kids all enjoy playing in his new room. Miles got to move into the big boy firetruck bed and he is doing great. He even put himself to bed last night, both Troy and I were amazed! We rearranged Lexi's room, and now everyone has some nice space to call their own. It is SO nice!!

Yesterday was the annual "Summer Safety Kickoff". The local police department, fire department, and Wal-mart put on this great event every summer. It is a free event where kids can get new helmets or get theirs sized, learn all the rules when out on your bike, eat hot dogs and snow cones, check out the fire trucks, ambulances, and police cars, and jump on the bounce houses and the flight for life helicopter flew overhead then swooped in for a cool landing in the field. We spent a few hours walking around to all the different booths, talking to all the firefighters and police, and checking out the helicopter. Both Jeremiah and Lexi had their helmets fitted. Jeremiah rode the course the policemen had setup for bikes. He enjoyed riding throughout the cones and stopping at the stop signs. We were all nice and entertained, on this perfect Summit County day, welcoming the idea that summer is here!!! (A-Basin, the only ski area still open closes today.)
